Hello!!!
I find lessons 13-17 interval comparison really hard...I do correct maybe 40-50% and its probably luck most of the time...I read somewhere here that best thing to do is to use your own instrument and find those tones..which I did ( I play guitar) and now I have 100% always on these lessons, but my problem is that I still can't hear them without instrument...Anyone know how to make that transition? Thank You

Interval comparison 13-17
Ćao Srđane,
I had the same sort of trouble when I got to lesson 13 of interval comparison, the first one without common tone, it was like having no orientation at all. But then I realized that all I have to do is remember the quality of the given interval, just to perceive the impression each interval makes on you, e.g. minor 2nd sound disgusting, major 2nd not as much, but still, there are more pleasant ones like minor 3rd or major 3rd. As soon as you perceive the quality itself of a certain interval, you no longer need having a common tone for two intervals to be able to distinguish them, as you can hear each of then just as they truly are. Of course, this will only come after some practice time, so be patient. I also was very annoyed at first, but endurance gets you everywhere!
Nadam se da si ti pomogao...
P.S. It’s nice to have you here. / Drago mi je da je još neko iz Srbije na ovom forumu.

Hi paulstapp (and the others too )
I have just tried to pratice with lesson 17 for a while now, and I haven't detected a single flaw in EarMaster yet. And it's easy to check for you only have to choose between 3rd Major/minor.
Maybe the errors you detected were in another lesson? We're really trying to keep our eyes open when it comes to bugs and errors in EarMaster, so we apreciate having them reported
