Questions about School Licensing

Post by CallMeZoot »

I am interested in purchasing a site license for my school, and have a few questions:

1.) Does the "Home User" license also cover school computers? If I want EarMaster installed in my school computer lab AND on my students' home computers, do I have to purchase BOTH the "Site" and "Home User" licenses, or just one?

2.) Does the "Home User" license ever expire? If I purchase the license this year, does it cover students in future years as well? Or does my school have to "renew" the Home User license each year (which would be cost-prohibitive for us).

3.) Are "Home User" students required to uninstall their home copy at the end of the school year?

Thanks,
chris.

Hi Zoot :--D ,

The "Home User" license only covers the students' home computers, so yes, you'd have to get both the "Site" and "Home User" licenses if you want your students to use EarMaster both at home and at the School. On the other hand, a home user license is valid for hundreds of students and actually costs as much as two single licenses from some other ear training programs (which I won't cite here) ;-)

The "Home User" license will never expire. You can use the same product each year, without having to renew anything (you can get the updates for free too, in order to always have the most up-to-date version of EarMaster).

The "Home User" students can keep EarMaster on their home computer as long as they are registered students of your school. They'll have to uninstall it when they have finished school though.
