Exercise setup

Post by Shane »

I'm having an issue with the exercise setup for my classes. I would like to assign an exercise setup for my classes to use all the time (such as disabling "play tone on click" and disabling "show answer" etc). I would like to assign this to them globally as a class, rather than making up a new tutor for each lesson and setting the exercise setup. Is this possible and how do I do it?

I have found the "assign exercise setup" window in the user maintenance section, but I'm supposed to choose an exercise setup file at that point, and I don't know how to save an exercise setup file.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Shane,
Once you have set up EarMaster as wanted, you have to click on the file tab, then Save exercise setup as..., and save your setup with a name of your choice at the location of your choice.

After that, you have to go in User Maintenance, as you know, select all your students (click on the one at the top of the list, press and hold [Shift], and click on the last student), and click on Assign exercise setup. Then find the folder where you saved your setup, select the right file and click OK. Your students should now be assigned that setup each time they start EarMaster.

But if you plan to create new lessons as well in the future, it may just as well be easier to create your own tutor right away :-)
