Answer Input

Post by William Weber »

The midi input (f11) is not active in the answer input drop down menu. I Tools shows the driver is installed for midi input. But, I cannot use my keyboard for answer input because in cannot click on midi input under answer input like I am supposed to. How do I activate Midi input under Answer input?

Hi,
This is because you need to use the remote control function (go to Tools-MIDI Device-Remote Controls and activate it).
After that, even in the exercies where the MIDI In answer input is disbaled (and greyed), you'll see a green round figure at the bottom of the screen next to the MIDI button, showing that MIDI is active.
When Remote Control is activated, you can use your MIDI instrument in all exercises, including Interval comparison (check in the remote control list which note corresponds to which action) :-)

Still no midi connection

Post by William Weber »

I went to tools and remote setting and checked the box but the key board still does not answer input. I have used this midi and keyboard on a laptop with Ear Master 5 and it worked. I wonder why it won't work on my desk top?

Sounds like your keyboard isn't maybe configured right. Have you checked the dialogue box in Windows to see if the keyboard is fully recognized and correctly installed?

Midi In does not work on Interval comparison: Problem solved

Post by William Weber »

The midi did not work because I was checking it in the incorrect exercise. My keyboard played fine in all other exercises. Thanks for your assistance.
