cant get usb midi-keyboard controller to work with program

i just recently purchased a m-audio axiom 49 USB Midi-keyboard controller and EarMaster doesn't recongnize it. my audio interface is a motu ultra-lite. can you tell me what i would need to do in order to use the usb midi-controller to work with your program.

EarMaster supports any MIDI controller recognized by Windows. Your MIDI keyboard should show in the list of MIDI devices as soon as you have installed the MIDI drivers complying with your keyboard (you must have got an installation CD with your keyboard).
If this didn't work, try to ask the manufacturer of your MIDI hardware how to have your keyboard recognized as a regular MIDI device.
Is your keyboard recognized by other applications? (such as sequencer etc.)
