Problems with rhythm dictation exersise

Post by drushty »

Hello Everybody!
Earmaster pro 5 plays the exercise in 5/4 bar thogh it shows 4/4 bar. Or it plays the right bar but after that it plays some chords or melodys.
I have the same problem with rhythm correction and play the rhythm.
It's a little bit annoying.
Can you help me?
Thank you!

I have just tried all rhythm exercises and no such thing happened. Unless someone with a School version accidentally modified your standard tutor, I really don't see why the program should play 5/4 instead of 4/4.

As for the phenomenon you are describing with EarMaster playing chords after a bar, this is quite unheard of, and seems doubtful.

Which build version do you have? (to be seen in Help-About EarMaster)

Hi again,
This must be caused by a problem in the use of MIDI messages in your system or by your soundcard, as Build 610P doen't have this type of issue.
MIDI signals are cached in your system, and the extra notes and rhythms you hear may be triggered by remains of previous MIDI signals that haven't been erased from the cache.
You may try to re-install EarMaster, maybe it will help. :-)
Do you have Windows Millenium, maybe? ;-)
