Just so you know... (Macintosh)
Moderator: Quentin
We know that a lot of musicians use Mac, and we would be pleased to offer the best ear training software to ALL musicians. Therefore a Mac version is our top priority developing project, but there is a lot of work involved so it will take some time to finish it.

The same old "Mac version" question...
Sorry to hound you guys at Earmaster,
but after going through all the posted mail regarding the Mac version,
I haven't seen any precise indication of a release date.
Any idea as to when all the Mac based musicians and music schools will be able to throw themselves at your product and bring countless dollars and euros to your coffers??

Windows license transferable to Mac license
I would consider buying a EarMaster 5 Pro (Vista) license now, (I can use BootCamp on Mac) if I could transfer the license to the Mac version when it comes out later this year. Do you think this would be permissible with your User license agreement?
Yes, you buy the license for the product, not for the platform. This means if you have a one PC license for EarMaster Pro 5, then it doesn't matter if you use it for Windows or Mac, the license covers both platforms.
If you buy EarMaster Pro 5 now, then you can just download and install the Mac version when it is ready and use the same license, without extra cost.

I've been looking for a program just like yours for months to tutor me in music theory etc. I have been playing guitar for 20 years and have put off learning music theory and this year I wanted to get serious about learning theory. I use a Mac exclusively in my work and would very much like a Mac version of your fine software.
I have an pc laptop but, generally I don't like pc software or pcs in general. I play guitar and I have not been able to find a similar product which matches the features that you have in your software. The product is perfect for my needs.
Since the offer is to be able to use the Mac version if you pre-purchase a pc version I can use your excellent software in the meantime while you code a Mac version. I downloaded your software to evaluate and have put off purchasing it because it's only available for pc or so I thought.
Now that I know your are in development of a Mac version I can swallow my pride for a year and purchase your PC version and happily look forward to your upcoming Mac version. It is very kind of you to provide the Mac version at no extra cost if customers purchase the PC version now.
I look forward to the Mac version and will enjoy using the PC version for now.
P.S. Please put me on any newsletter/announcement email when the Mac version is ready.

How do you get it to work on Windows and why do you bother?
Windows sound, multi-media, and MIDI are so awful.
Why does _anyone_ try to use it for anything musical?
How did you get EM to work?! Nothing else sound related seems to work worth a crud!
Yeah! You need a Mac version.... that way it would surely be used more... i.e. you'd sell a lot of copies.
Music folk don't use Windbows in general... because Windblows is just plain broken-out-of-the-box when it come to sound and music stuff.
In particular... the native Synth... well... the mildest words that suffice... sucks!
