Hi,
It's Robert again. I just got the most recent update and am now having Midi out issues. When I open the program I immediately get a window that says:
MIDIOutputPortCreate error
Could not create a MIDI port (status = -50)
Then when I click okay, and the program opens, I can use it, but on some of the exercises, when a question is played, I get sustained notes that last until they finally decay on their own. It's very annoying. I can't get them to turn off even by using the all MIDI notes off command.
I did not have this problem with the previous version (however I did have some of the crashing issues with that version.)
I'm still using a PowerPC G4 with OSX 10.4.11
Anything to do on my end, or do I wait until the next update?
Thanks,
Robert
MIDI out issues on Mac

Hi Robert,
I found the bug, and it's not only a PowerPC issue, and this affects configurations with external MIDI interfaces. A fix will be available on the next update.
Meanwhile you should be able to workaround this bug by changing your MIDI output device to Apple DLS SoftSynth, and back to your preferred output device. This ensures a proper initialization.
I know, this is too much to ask to do each time you start EarMaster - alternately, you can use the Apple DLS SoftSynth until the fix is available.
Thank you for your patience, and best regards,
Normann
