Error installing on Windows Vista

Post by dsnelson »

Hi,

I bought a copy of EarMaster5 and tried to install it on my laptop running Windows Vista and got the following error:
SETUP
Internal error: Failed to expand shell folder
constant "userappdata"
How do I fix this problem?

Thanks

Hi,

You seem to have a problem with your Vista and its shell system, and it's probably affecting any installation on your system - a environment variable called %APPDATA% is the cause for this error message.

Try and see the instructions to solve the problem:

Hope this helps, and best regards,

I finally got it to work. It seem like there was some conflict with another program, so I had to install it under a clean boot which is discribed at

Thanks for the help
