Earmaster 6.0

Post by philippo17 »

Hail Earmaster 8-) Well, it's been more than a year we're on the 5.0 version. For when do you plan Earmaster 6.0 (that would be terrific!) and what will be the new features? Thanks!

Hi Philippo17,
We're gathering ideas for EarMaster 6, and we are planning really awesome improvements. It will not come in the very near future though, for EarMaster 5 is still quite recent and up to date ;-)

Updates before version 6

Post by CorpC »

Hi, please help a newbie with a few things...

If I purchase version 5, will all the updates before going to version 6 be included in the price?
Another thing, UI is not yet in Finnish but will it be before version 6?

Hi,

All the updates for the version you have are free (we release updates aproximately every second to third month). If you buy version 5 now, you will be able to download all the future updates for free until version 6 is released.

When version 6 is released, you will be able to upgrade from v.5 to v.6 at a lower price instead of buying a full license.

The Finnish translation is in the making and will hopefully be available before the summer is over. :-)

Hello,

In the above statement you talk about updates for Ear Master. Where on the site can you find these updates? Thank you!

Hello,
You can access the updates from inside EarMaster:
Help>Check for updates...
This will open a page in your internet browser notifying you on whether there is an update available for your program.

Tutor translation

Post by CorpC »

Hi again,
I purchased the software and it has proven to be as good as I thought (maybe better). Will the tutor also be translated? It should be if you are targeting it to younger users (like my student)..

Another thing,
I tried to google "Earmaster" with Finnish search and maybe you would like to have it found a bit better than it is at the moment..? Meaning, the official site or any reseller using Finnish did not seem to be at the search results which of course excludes all the potential customers here that use our native language. I know you have a lot bigger market areas you need to think about, but still with a little extra effort there could be few extra euros coming for the company. (I hope this was more helpful than annoying ) :-)

version 6

Is it possible to get an updated estimate of when the next (version 6) version might be available. I'm interested in the version for Mac if there is to be a difference.

Version 6 is scheduled for the last quarter of 2011 at the earliest. Upgrade discount prices will be available for owners of version 5 :-)

Why is the new scheduled day delayed again and agian :-? , first end of 2010 and now the last quarter of 2011? That is nearly one year btw. I waited to buy Earmaster Pro 6 because I don't want to pay for an update within several months. But know I have to.

We want to make this release a major upgrade. There is no official schedule, this is just an approximative date. Many things happen when you develop software, included unexpected tasks and new ideas. We don't want to release an upgrade just for the sake of it as some companies do. It has to be meaningful for us and the users. But there is plenty of great ear training to get in version 5 already, so why wait? ;-)
