I've just spent four horrible hours supporting a teacher who made the mistake of trying to use your program for quiz. I'm really beginning to wonder if you actually know how to program for the Mac. I've already looked like an idiot once because the program wouldn't open after being installed under the Admin account, but this is over the top.
Here are the bugs.
1. On the login screen, the TAB key doesn't work. I should be able to enter a username and press TAB to move to the password field
2. The common and data files are located on the server in the Public folder. About half of the time, it reported that the file was in use when students tried to create a new user. and wouldn't let them create it. Had to logout, login as admin, for no apparent reason and try again
3. When they loaded the tutor, the program selected custom exercise. Why would they load a tutor and not want to use it.
4. In the User Overview at least have of the users list the wrong tutor, yet when looking at the exercises it shows the exercises were actually from the right tutor.
You program has a nice design, but the programming is terrible. I haven't had problems like this in years. At this point we're ready to dump it.

Hi,
We're really sorry you got such a bad impression. Our philosophy is to listen to our users, so be sure your comments will all be addressed (some of them have actually already been solved).
1) Please make sure the "Full keyboard access" is set to "All controls" in your System Preferences under "Keyboard & Mouse" in the "Keyboard Shortcuts" tab. We have however also found that a bug in the system has been reversing the tab-order of controls in some of the screens, and a fix to this problem will be available with the next update.
2) We are working on improving network capabilities on the Mac version of EarMaster School, after feedbacks on different needs of network installations. We will look more into the situation you describe and see if we can provoke this to happen on our own Mac installations.
3) A minor bug in handling the path to common (shared) folder has been fixed, and will be available with the next update.
4) The User Overview shows what tutor is assigned to the users. However, if they changed the tutor it will not be shown on other computers until they exit EarMaster. The results shown will always show the tutor they were made with. The facility to show the currently chosen tutor might be a feature candidate for a new release of EarMaster.

Yes, I must admit, you folks have been responsive. It was the end of a very long week and I was letting out my frustrations. The bugs are real, but I don't want to be unfair.
So to try to be more helpful, are you sure you are using the hooks into the Mac OS? I know in Windows, you have to program a lot of things like shortcuts in each program, whereas many of these things, like the TAB key are built into the OS on Mac. The erratic nature of that bug suggests something like that may be happening.
