Controller does not match with display keys

I feel like an idiot here. Newbie on the block. I set up my Midi in. i have an M-audio keystation 88es. The program found it easily. However when i hit a white key the black key on the screen is hit. I say that is incorrect. Anyone know how to fix this. I also have and M-audio Pro Fire 2626 audio interface and it shows up in the Midi Out box but when I select it . It has no sound. I can only use the Microsoft wave table synth or the midi mapper. The first question is the one I need fixed the most. Don't need to use the 2626 if I can play and here it through the other sources. You need to make sure your keyboard isn't transposing notes before they are send out. And about your interface, it does not have its own sound module, so you need to make sure it's connected to a module which can receive the Midi signals from the interface and turn these into sounds.

Yes thank you. That is what I was doing. I had the transpose button set to 1. Like I said, I felt like an idiot. Thanks again .
