Hi. I am trying to sing my intervals using a tiny microphone. I have gone through the microphone setup adjusting the levels and it seems to register fine there. When I am doing the exercise I click on the microphone to give input - but it doesn't seem to hear what I am singing.
Suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Once you have set up the microphone in EarMaster, you can activate the Microphone Input answering method by clicking on its icon at the bottom right of the screen.
A tuner interface will show in the upper right side of the window, displaying the tones you sing/play into the mic, and a VU meter next to the microphone icon will indicate how much sound is registered by the microphone.
Best regards,
Quentin

Thanks.
Vandelay, the same thing happened to me. Until now, I still cannot use the microphone function. I gave up last month and just worked on the other exercises. I sincerely hope you can have your microphone problem solved and please keep us posted.
The microphone icon is only greyed out in a few exercises where it can't be used, like rhythm dictation, rhythm correction, or if you add rhythm to a melodic dictation. Apart from these exercises, the icon can only be greyed out if you actively deselect it from the exercise parameters.
We are planning to make a short video/tutorial to show how to simply set up the microphone and use it to sing and play the answers, so that you can have a visual reference
