MIDI Keyboard issue (Mac) - double answers
I'm using a mac and a midi keyboard through m-aduio fast track pro USB interface. When I try to use my midi keyboard to answer, everything comes two times. Example. I try to answers C, but Earmaster marks C C.
Anyone with a solution?

same problem with an EE MU Xmidi 1x1 interface
I'm evaluating the free trial version of EarMaster 6 that I downloaded a couple of days ago and am so close to buying it, but just ran into this same issue where anything I play shows up doubled. I checked for a newer version but I am running the latest one: Build 620PXi (Macbook Pro)... I'm using an E-MU Xmidi 1x1 interface with a Yamaha P-60 electric piano.

same setup except with Windows 7 does not have issue
Hi, I decided to try downloading the Windows version (build 620PW) to see if it had the same issue, but it works fine under Windows without any of the doubled-input issues I was seeing when using my Mac laptop.

Tried another input device
Thanks for investigating this issue!
Your reply reminded me that I have an M-AUDIO Keystation 49e usb keyboard controller, so I got it out to see if using it would avoid the same issue. Unfortunately, when I tried it the notes were all still doubled. Not sure if it makes a difference, but I am on Mac OS 10.7.5.
Here is an example of what it looks like (you can also actually hear the notes being hit twice rapidly in succession as you play them):

I tried GarageBand, but didn't have the doubled notes in Garageband. I created a video to illustrate...

I also tried a free app in the App Store called MidiTrail that will visualize midi in data, and it didn't show any doubling.

Could this be at all related?:
http://www.steinberg.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=51484
i.e. could the controller be sending MIDI on two ports? If this is the case, could EarMaster be configured to only pay attention to one port?
