Mic not functioning with Terratec DMX6fire

I'm experiencing trouble getting EarMaster 5 to recognize my mic input, I've a Terratec DMX6fire 24/96 soundcard. The Terratec control panel does receive the signal, and plenty of it, but the programme does not. Also, the program opens the windows mixer, instead of the Terratec control panel one.

There can be several recording devices installed on your computer. In that case EarMaster uses the default device. In the Windows Control panel, open the "Sounds and Audio Devices Properties". On the "Voice" tab you can choose the default device for voice recording.
