cannot capture serial number with my MAC keyboard

Hello,
I just received my install DVD but I cannot enter the serial number because it is impossible to enter numbers with my keyboard.
I have a MAC with a keyboard not having number pad. I have to use the shift button to capture numbers but numbers are not inserted into the area where to capture de serial number.....
Any help is more than welcome,

Have you tried entering the serial number using the CAPS LOCK option of your keyboard?
