A/B played simultaneously in interval trainer

Post by mcmarwa88@gmail.com »

I have been using the interval trainer for several weeks. However, when I used it today, the A/B intervals were played simultaneously, not one after the other. I can still do the exercise by clicking on the 'Play A', 'Play B' buttons, but something changed. Is there a preference or configuration item I can change so EarMaster will revert to its previous behavior of play A, pause, play B??

Hi,
If you are training with the Standard Tutor, then the intervals will be played harmonically (i.e. as chords) at some point.

If you are training in Customized training mode, then you can define how the intervals are played in the Exercise setup window.

Guess I didn't make myself clear. I'm not concerned that the two notes in choice A play at the same time. What I'm concerned about is that the A and B choices both play at the same time---That is, you do not hear first A, then B; they play simultaneously.

I understand now, sorry. This is a very strange issue which has never been reported by anyone before. We'll need some more details to investigate it:

1) Your OS
2) Processor/Ram installed in your computer
3) Build number of EarMaster (HELP>ABOUT EARMASTER)
4) Is it happening in Tutor training mode or Customized training mode?
5) Are you using MIDI controllers or simply the computer keyboard and the mouse?

Thanks in advance.
