My teacher has me doing the following exercise, and I'm wondering if it can be replicated in Ear Master.
Play a random note (let's say C in this example). Then, have the exercise say "This is the 3rd in an A-7b5 chord. Sing the remaining chord tones." (ascending or descending, depending on the settings.)
Then the user would have to correctly sing Eb, G, A (ascending) or sing A, G, Eb (descending).
I need to be able to do this for any chord type in any key. Is it possible to create a custom exercise for this?
Thanks in advance,
Dana
Can Ear Master be configured for this exercise?

Hi,
You can sing chords in EarMaster, but EarMaster will either play the lower or the higher pitched note, depending on whether the chord needs to be sung upwards or downwards. It will not play a 3rd of a triad for instance, it will always be either the root or the 5th.
In customized mode, many options are available to define in which keys the questions will be played, and whether you are allowed to hear a cadence, the key notes or a chord to establish the key before each question.
