Midi client error

I'm a new user, I just installed EarMaster Pro on my macbook, what can I do to fix this problem?
"MIDI Client Create Error - Could not create a Midi Client."

Hi,
Is it EarMaster Pro 5 or the EarMaster Pro 6 Beta version you are referring to?
Also, have you installed Earmaster from a CD or downloaded the latest installer from our website?

ear master pro 5, download version.I've got a macbook pro, 10.7.5
The software takes a little bit to start (some minutes) before giving me that error message.

Is the program installed from a CD or did you download it from the EarMaster website?

If you installed it from a CD or downloaded it long ago, please go to www.earmaster.com/download/ and download the newest installer that is optimized for 10.7 and 10.8 (it has a .pkg extension).

It could sound like a problem caused by an obsolete/corrupted installation, so running the installation again with the newest version might solve the problem.

I had downloaded the .pkg extension already. I did it again a few minutes ago, still got the same problem.
Maybe it will get better with EarMaster pro6?

Could you perhaps try to download the BETA of EarMaster Pro 6 and see if it was a version 5-related issue, or if it has something to do with the way your OS is set up?
