Cloud sync problem
Every time I start EarMaster Cloud I get a syncing error. I can usually refresh syncing by working around it (closing the program seems to work for syncing). Any thoughts?
Here's the error:

Re: Cloud sync problem
Which version of Mac OS are you using? And how are you connecting to the internet (Wireless of ethernet cable)?

Re: Cloud sync problem
Is the wireless ON in OSX when you start EarMaster? When testing here on our Mac with 10.8.4, there is no problem syncing via Wireless.
Could you also check the the folder CloudCache exists in:
MAC HD-->Users-->Shared-->EarMaster-->6.0
If it isn't there, could you please create it (typed exactly as it appears above, in one word with 2 capital C's) and then start EarMaster?

Re: Cloud sync problem
Yes, the wireless is on. I'm not having any connectivity issues with other programs or browsers. The CloudCache folder is where you said it should be.
It seems to have no trouble with syncing when I close the program, it's just when I open it. When I get a chance I'll try it on a different wireless network as well to see if that makes a difference. Any other ideas?

Re: Cloud sync problem
I tried installing on a PC and it syncs every time without any issues. So this seems to be either Mac related or my-Mac related.

Re: Cloud sync problem
Could you please try to connect your Mac via a cable instead of wireless? This is just to try to identify the cause of the issue.

Re: Cloud sync problem
Connected via ethernet to router, wireless turned off. Still getting the error. Just to be clear, about one time in ten it will sync when I start up the program, so it's not a completely consistent error.
It always syncs without problem when I quit EarMaster. It also works if I sync using the button on the statistics page. The only time I see this error is on opening the program.

Re: Cloud sync problem
I met with some other faculty today and introduced them to the program. They were getting the same error, also on Macs. It was on the same wireless network. Will check on a different network tomorrow.

Re: Cloud sync problem
I have the exact same setup as you, but I am not getting this error with normal use. However, I got the error when I opened the MacBook and opened EarMaster right away while WIFI was not wired back yet (the WIFI icon was still scanning for an internet access point). If I wait a couple of seconds until the access point is reached, the cloud sync is all good upon start up. Could you please try that? If it was indeed the problem, then we could simply set a longer delay in the program's code before the program aborts the synchronization.

Re: Cloud sync problem
I've tested it out now on another network and it syncs fine. This is apparently an issue with my wireless router at home. I'll do some digging around my router settings and see if I can figure it out.
