Earmaster does not find MIDI input device
Hi! I have bought a new small midi keyboard to get the most out of earmaster. It is an AKAI professional LPK25. OS on my laptop is Windows 8. I have installed the driver for the AKAI keyboard. I have selcted MIDI devices in earmaster. But on the preferences window , MIDI devices tab, I get no alternative MIDI in device, the drag-down bar is blank. Earmaster doesn't seem to have found any MIDI input devices despite that I have installed the correct driver for my decice and connected it to usb port. Windows pic's up my device, so the usb port should be ok. What can I do to get earmaster to coorporate with my midi controller, what is wrong? Many thanks for any answer.
Re: Earmaster does not find MIDI input device
Hi,
I guess it is you whom I have been writing with over email about the same problem. For those interested, we did solve it: the MIDI keyboard didn't show up in the MIDI In device list because it was not plugged in to the computer before starting EarMaster. Plugging the keyboard in and then starting EarMaster fixed the problem.
Cheers,
Quentin
