Hi -
Just bought Earmaster, hoping to train both ear and sight-singing. Only problem is, however, that I seem only to be able to input by singing on a few activities (Melody Imitation and Rhythm Imitation). Melodic sight singing seems only to allow me to play by the on-screen keyboard (which is odd for something called "singing") and the same is true for Interval Singing.
What's up with this? I can understand how it might have been possible for me to set the software up improperly and get NO activities that allow microphone input, but having the present situation in which some activities which are claimed to be able to use microphone input actually doing so while others aren't makes no sense.
Am I doing something wrong? I can find no settings to enable microphone for the "singing" activities, which, unfortunately, are two of the main activities I bought this software to help me with.

Microphone input only on a couple activities?

Re: Microphone input only on a couple activities?
Hi Todd
The microphone should work for those exercises as well. Actually you should be able to use the microphone in every exercise except interval comparison which is only with the "A" and "B" buttons on the screen.
It could be as simple as the microphone button in the exercise that is "off". In the upper right corner of the toolbar in an exercise there is a mic logo. This button should be be "on", and then you should be able to see the sounds that the microphone catches on the green bar next to the button. Does this work?
