I am working from a Mac and having trouble with an inactive course-button. A little over a year ago, it worked perfectly - and then suddenly stopped. Nothing happens, when I press the button. Then I was told, that upgrading to the Yosemite system for Mac should solve the problem. It hasn't. What to do?
Kind regards,

Re: Trouble with Course-button
Hi Morten,
Are you referring to the "Course Editor" button of the welcome screen in the Teacher edition?

Yes, exactly
Re: Trouble with Course-button
Hi Morten,
I am thinking that perhaps the course editor window is being opened in a non-visible area of the screen. Have you had 2 display monitors connected to your Mac at some point? If yes, could you please try to connect that second screen in order to see if the corse edtor shows up there?

I still have the problem. I have had the computer(mac)-image put up on a screen, but it has nothing to do with that - in that case, both screens show the same.
What to do then?

Re: Trouble with Course-button
Could you open the Finder in OSX, and search for the file "Setting.da6". Move it to your desktop, and then start EarMaster.
Is that solving the issue?
Notice that this will reset all your personal settings such as voice range, instrument interfaces, etc.
If that didn't help, simply move the file back to the folder in question and we will try something else.

It helped!
Shall it remain on the desktop?

If you don't need to use the same settings as before (i.e. if you don't mind selecting your options again from scatch), then you can simply move the old settign file from your desktop to the trash. EarMaster always creates a new setting file automatically if it can't find one.
