How do you enter interval answers with the computer keyboard

Post by Edje »

How do I answer interval questions using the computer keyboard?

E.g. pressing num 0 for unison, num 1 for min 2nd, etc.

I can't find shortcuts in the user manual for pitches, only for durations.

Hi,

Shortcuts to insert tones are located at the bottom of the list of shortcuts in the manual of EarMaster:

Ohhh. The ... looked liked separators, not continuation marks. Confusing manual.

Also, this allows you to enter only major intervals - you can't enter a minor 6th with ctrl-anything, can you? So it's basically useless.

And finally, is there no menu option to set your own shortcut keys?

EarMaster is such a great tool musically, but the UI really need improvements :-(
I wish I were on your programming\design team.

The current key will determine whether a Major or minor interval is inserted.

There is no option to set your own shortcuts unfortunately, but it's on our to-do list. The default shortcuts will also be re-worked very soon, as they were optimized for use with a regular keyboard and are not very convenient for laptop users.
