How do I setup Ear Master Pro5 to use Kontakt 3 for the sound output? I would like to use the Kontakt 2 Library that has Steinway piano to produce the keyboard sound.
Thanks

Hi Jeff,
there is actually an explanation on how to do that in the faq: http://www.earmaster.com/support/faq.htm#sample_player

I installed a MIDI virtual patchcable (LoopBe1) and now I can drive successfully Kontakt 4.
The only drawback I am having is the shortness of EarMaster MIDI command.
I mean, it is as EM Pro is playing "staccato". There is no way to trim the "release" time of the note EM sends to LoopBe1?
Thank you for your help.
Kind regards,
andrea

Same problem here but with Kontakt 5.
I tried LoopBe1 first and found that the first chord Earmaster plays in the interval comparison excercise is staccato and the second one is OK. The excact same thing happens when testing using the Play button under -> Tools -> Program settings -> Midi devices -> Midi Out -> Play.
Suspecting this to be a problem with LoopBe1 I uninstalled it and tried loopMIDI (www.tobias-erichsen.de/loopMIDI.html) but also with this second loopback driver the exact same thing happens (short first chord followed by correct second chord).
Any suggestion on how this could be solved would be highly appreciated because it would make Earmaster even greater to use than it already is.
Kind regards,
Thomas

Thanks Andrea for the quick response.
You are right. Now that I test different Kontakt libraries and instruments there are some that have this problem and others that don't. So it's most likely a Kontakt problem. The MIDI signals from Earmaster are OK and the loopback device is also functioning as it should.
So it's off to the NI forums I guess!

Thomas
