Not Responding Properly to MIDI Keyboard

Post by edlevy »

Problem With EarMaster MIDI for Melody 2.png
(This is a continuation of a thread that got erased when the Help database was rolled back to an earlier date.)

I have an iRig Pro Keyboard controller. When I attempt to use it to input answers in melodic sightsinging exercises, the answers are not detected. That is, blue lines appear over the appropriate notes, but they get red X's under them (see attached image). It doesn't seem like the timing should be the problem, because these exercises are supposedly untimed and anyway I think my timing is OK.

I know the notes are being detected because I hear them as I play them, and I see the blue lines that you see in the attached image. In the MIDI setup box i see iRikg KEYS Pro in the MIDI In device box. I tried selecting both Single Note Input On and Off. The picture you see was taken after it was set to Off.

I am getting an error at the end of the exercise saying "Floating point division by zero". Somebody from your offices said in the thread I started that was subsequently erased that the were able to replicate this problem and would look into it.

Thanks a lot,
Ed Levy

Hi Ed,
It was a bug in the previous build, but it has now been fixed. You can sImply download the latest update to get it (HELP menu --> Check for updates).
