Dear All, I have 2 problems:
1 - When running Earmaster for sigth reading via microphone, my PC gets very slow and unresponsive (almost freezes) , I can hardly manage to start program manager and kill Earmaster, then everything starts to work again.
I notice this after last upgrades. I'm using a Focusrite Scarlet 2i4 to input my electric guitar
for sigth reading exercises. I've already tried to uninstall and install the program again.
2 - I've tried several trasposing options +12, o -12, -24, but I can't find a wait to have the Staff in sigth reading exercise look rigth for guitar (i mean like in guitar scores, where the C on 3rd fret A string is the
C just below staff in treble cleff) . It seems that some of the transposing options doesn't affect transposition at all.
Can somebody help me, Please?
Best regards

Re: Windows Freezes + Guitar Transposing
Hi,
The last update introduced a bug for transposing instruments. It is being fixed right now, sorry about that.
As for the problem with the soundcard, we have a 2i2 at the office and everything runs perfectly. I think it uses exactly the same protocols as the 2i4. Are you plugging the soundcard prior to starting EarMaster? (which is what is recommended)

Re: Windows Freezes + Guitar Transposing
Hi,
I'm plugging the 2i4 prior to running Earmaster offcourse. I now noticed that problems
mostly happens whe I'm in the configure microphone dialog, and that Earmaster
doesn't get the pick up the pich correctly (I play C but B is displayed, nad I've double checked my tuning)
I've also tryed to let Earmster in backgroud doing nothing (in the beginning screen) and the problem
occurs as well, a suddend the PC freezes and I have to force quit Earmaster.
All this happen when The Focusrite is plugged (no problems with onboard audio yet, but i'm checking).
I'm running Windows x64 8.1 and latest Earmaster 6.1. Didn't notice the problems
befor last updates.
Regards

Re: Windows Freezes + Guitar Transposing
Is there some kind of setup program shipped with the 2i4? = a software interface to set frequency and sample rates?
If yes, what are the current settings?

Hi,
I've uninstalled the 2i4 driver and reinstalled it again. Everything works fine now.
Also, the last update solved any problem with instrument transposition.
Thanks and regards.
