No time to breathe in 4 measure singing

I’m having a hard time making it through the 4 measure sight-singing exercises because there’s no moment to take a breath so at some point you have to shorten a duration and incur an error. Please advise on how this is supposed to work?

Taking a quick breath at the end of a measure shouldn't incur an error, as EarMaster allows for minor discrepancies in rhythmic accuracy.
