Post by peruserkki »

Hi.

Does anyone know how to get Earmaster working with midisport USB UNO midi? Once I USB midi input in earmaster exercises, it crashes (access violation) after 1st exercise (rhytm readin).

My midi device Yamaha CS1x.
Earmaster version is 5 and build 608P

Hi,

Some detail questions before trying to find out about this:
  • Did you activate the Remote Control option in Tools_Midi_devices_Remote controls?

Are your MIDI drivers installed correctly?

Did you choose MIDI as input in the Answer Input menu?
best regards,

Hi.

Did you activate the Remote Control option in Tools_Midi_devices_Remote controls?

Yes. I tried both options.

Are your MIDI drivers installed correctly?

I believe so. When i choose midi out: USB uno midi out, and press "play", i can heard a sound from my midi keyboard. Then when i try rhytm dictation, it works a while and then it fails. Usually duration of note fails fails first, then it complains about "Error reading Tutor question count. Exercise=5 Lesson=10". THen lesson continues and same happens once i have dictated the rhytm (durations are '0' -> very short green bars). If I now click tutor button (a man' face) the access violation happens.

Did you choose MIDI as input in the Answer Input menu?

Yes.

If you have support e-mail address, I can send screen captures (.jpg) about the error dialogs.
