Is V6 significantly different/better other than in how it looks?

Hey folks. I have the use of an old copy of Earmaster from many years ago - V4. Is V6 significantly different/better other than in how it looks?

EarMaster 6 was a big step from EarMaster 4 already, but EarMaster 7, the current version of the software, is even more powerful, and an improvement in many respects, among which :

- Singing exercises: sight-singing, melody singback
- Exercises based on scores
- Multi-device subscriptions with syncing of your results across all your devices running iOS, Android, Windows or Mac.
- Adaptive questioning engine that adapts the content of a given exercises to how you are faring.
- 4000+ exercises compared to 600+ in version 4
- Better sounds using samples of real instruments
- Call-response mode for uninterrupted pingpong-like training
- New visual interfaces: Functional keyboard displaying scale degrees or solfege syllables, tone ladder that helps you visualize solfege syllables, note names to sight-singing from letters instead of a score, and more to come
- More courses: Beginner's course, vocal trainer, RCM Voice, Aural Trainer for UK Grades, Greensleeves, Call of the Notes, and more to come
- Clearer interface where the important elements for the exercise are displayed, and all the fine-tuning is done in a new Exercise Options side menu

There's a lot more that has been improved. My best advice would be that you download and try the new version to experience for yourself how it feels liek to use the new version. When working with the free version, you get unlimited access to a few sections of EarMaster: Interval ID and Chord ID in Customized Exercise mode, the complete Greensleeves course, and the complete Call of the Notes course. Keep an open mind the first few hours, some changes from v4 to v7 may seem radical, especially the simplification of the exercise UI where most options are in a side menu, but in my opinion, it becomes quickly obvious that it helps a lot focus on actual training

I'm having a EarMaster 6, and I gotta tell you, I really regret not buying it sooner! As Quentin said, its features are superior to the older versions. Don't consider, buy it my friend
