Better grouping of 16th and 32th in the rhythm exercises

Post by Thomas »

In the rhythm exercises with 8th measures there are difficulties to read many notes with the same value. Specially in the rhythm correction exercise I have to count the notes to locate the wrong note.

See example 1) with 12 32th notes in one group. All notes are joined with 3 bars. In example 2) these notes are now grouped into 3 8th note values. Only the outer bar joins all notes. Now I can easily locate the beats.

1) 12 32th notes in one group

2) 12 32th notes in 3 groups of 8th (4 * 32th)

EarMaster developers may want to look at how Gnu Lilypond handles note groupings.

We always want to improve EarMaster. I agree that some of the 8th-meters could group 16th and 32nd notes better. We have that on our list for the next version of EarMaster.
