No Midi sound from speakers
My Windows XP computer has digital speakers that connect through a Mbox2. I am able to hear wave [wav] sounds from Earmaster but I can't hear any midi sounds. My computer has several other programs that use midi and I don't have any problems with them. I have tried all the different midi drivers on my system and all possible Windows settings. Can you help ?
Hi,
Have you checked if the correct MIDI output is chosen in EarMaster?
Tools - Program Settings - MIDI Devices. You can click on the Play button to check if the sound is working.
Normally, if your MIDI device is recognised by Windows, then it can be used with EarMaster.

Hi,
the Mbox2 doesn't have any software synthetizer: it can't interpret MIDI messages and will need a MIDI instrument (software or hardware) to do that.
I suggest you choose the MIDI output of your on-board card, unless you can connect your Mbox2 to a MIDI intrument with audio outputs (in order to hear sound).
