Re: Melodic Dictation Set Note Range
This is what I was hoping to originally accomplish. I can set a three octave range in the Transpose Range edit. However in the Custom Scale dialog I can only hold a two octave range of notes selected. I can select as many combination notes there as I want but earmaster will only hold on to a two oct...

Re: Melodic Dictation Set Note Range
I was able to create the melody using all the notes available to me on the three octave harmonica. However I cannot see that I can limit the number of notes to play back randomly and to set the interval and ambitus.

Re: Melodic Dictation Set Note Range
Not intuitive but I did finally figure it out. However, I really still cannot pick exactly what notes over a three octave range that I want to have play in my custom scale. On the harmonica in the third octave the b3 and b5 are unavailable but earmaster will not let me have a full three octave range...

Melodic Dictation Set Note Range
I select a group of notes on the custom scale keyboard setup but the melodic dictation exercise does not play them all. The exercise only plays the range of blues scale notes in one octave from b7 to b7. Number of tones set to 1. Not sure of the correct way to use the Activity Setup in Melodic Dicta...

Scale Playback
I want to learn scales by ear. Is there somewhere in earmaster that I can have it playback scales without quizzing me or making it a game or score keeping event.

It is very convoluted in its execution. Ctrl-F5 if you have certain things selected in the Exercise settings menu, F9 to stop, etc. Simply put, toggling the SpaceBar should pause the program from doing Anything and resume it to doing what it was doing. Unless you are Tutor guy mode and there is some...

I'm currently evaluating the program, and encountered this problem also. I do struggle with the logic that says that the lesson settings affect your ability to stop, pause, and continue a lesson. Doesn't really make sense, and the number of views of this thread suggests it's an issue for other peop...

Playback time intervals
I don't see if you can change the way notes are played back in measures. When I play back a series of tones in Melodic Dictation you can only space the next phase to played back in X amount of seconds. I would like to be able to play back in X amount of note value based on the tempo selected. 75bpm ...

I would like to step back as far as I want to and not really as a new question. Does an exercise just go on forever until you quit? Perhaps allow setting a limit to the number of questions I want to be asked in an exercise session. Let's say in Melodic Dictation I choose to hear exactly 100 question...

Ctrl-F6 does not do anything. It is not Auto replay but Auto play new. I have Auto new question set to Always every 4 seconds. Answer time limit is set to 2 seconds or how ever long I want. So ever 6 seconds is new question automatically. I want to be able to pause this process. Spacebar would be ni...

Go Back (Step Back) Button
At time it would be nice to step back in a series of exercises. Sometimes I click next or auto forward and would like to actually go back several questions and not just replay the one I am currently on only. Maybe this would screw up your scoring system but I don't care about the score. It is a jour...

I agree with the original problem. I like auto-ing to the next question but would like a pause button. Esc sort of does this but kicks you back to the main menu and then it is several clicks to go back in from where you left off. You know, phone rings, just want to think, etc. - Pause Button please.
