Range check error Mac

Post by TechnicalGuitar »

Hello. I purchased Earmaster 5 a little less than year ago through the Mac App Store. I have never experienced any problems until now. When I try to play any of the exercises it says range check error. I have tried to install an update, but when I look under the help or the Earmaster pro 5 section of the menu it is nowhere to be found. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. Thank you :-)

Hi,

Updates for AppStore versions are done through the AppStore application. I can see you have posted about the same problem twice in the forum, so I will delete the other thread, and carry on here.

Range Check errors are not fatal errors, so the program should continue running normally when that message is displayed.

We will try to find out what might be the cause for the message.

Thank you for replying :). The error continues to pop up after I close it.

Hi,

Could you please send us a OSX log so that we see what is going on in your system when the error is displayed. To extract a log and save it, please do the following:

1) Go to Applications-->Utilities-->Console

2) In the left panel, select All Messages. Then go to the FILE menu and choose Save a copy as....

Once you have saved the log, please send it to our support address: support (at) earmaster.com
